Hattingen Vocational College
Hattingen VC is excited about their new instruments, microphones, recorders and other accessories. This valuable addition to our equipment reached us in late summer.
In music lessons, these instruments have already been used to put numerous hands-on ideas into practice, e.g. for the implementation of sound stories and atmospheric song accompaniment. The students at the vocational school for social pedagogy also took the new instruments with them to a school for a project. The instruments went on their journey in a suitcase and were used as part of the project to set a story of a hedgehog to music. This was a great pleasure for the students, but also for the children involved. A ghost also crossed the music room acoustically with the help of the Flexatone on Halloween. The musical thunderstorm in the autumn poem was also very impressive.
In the field of media education, the recorders have already been used for the production of radio plays and – in addition to the excellent recording quality – enabled flexible handling of the recording devices indoors and outdoors. The students of the practice-integrated training also benefited from this.
The experience in dealing with the instruments and technology and the skills gained as a result enable the students at Hattingen vocational college to pass on their knowledge and skills in their (future) fields of work such as daycare, after-school care, youth centres, youth welfare and to provide the children and young people with positive musical and media experiences. Thanks!
