New school year, new rhythm: Project “Finding the new rhythm together” starts in the counties of Hildesheim, Peine and Goslar
The start of the 2023/2024 school year was also the time exciting project “Finding the new rhythm together” was launched. This innovative project, which aims to promote a sense of community and musical talent, is being implemented in five secondary schools in the county of Hildesheim. For the first time, the project will also be carried out in one school each in the countiess of Goslar (Schule am Schluss, Liebenburg) and Peine (Aueschule Wendeburg).
In the new 5th years of these schools, the students will drum together for 45 minutes a week until Christmas 2023. This extraordinary musical experience not only serves musical development, but also focuses on togetherness, learning and practicing together. The process aims at supporting the new students in forming a unit and community, and at helping them grow together into a solid class.
A total of 16 classes and , therefore, between 350 and 400 pupils are involved in this exciting project this year. By the Christmas holidays, the students will be able to safely accompany about 10 rhythmic titles.
The project is being implemented in close cooperation with the Cluster e.V. charity from Hildesheim and Ralf Dittrich, a renowned music teacher and general educator from Hildesheim. The project “Finding the new rhythm together” extends over three school years and is largely made possible by the support of the Sparkasse Hildesheim Goslar Peine and the Hildesheim Regional Association. The Hans Thomann Foundation also supports the project with active speakers for each of the participating schools.
