Hans Alfred Keller School
Great excitement is in the air! There are two huge boxes – for us! Terrific! Wow! What do you think is in there? It says “Thomann” on them!
Willing to do their most to help, some children of class 1/2a lend a hand in the afternoon. They unpack a glockenspiel – and another one, and another one… there seems to be no end to this! How lucky that we practiced the large numbers up to twenty, because a guitar, 10 glockenspiels, 20 mallets and 6 bass bars emerge from the box. These great instruments now add to and enrich the music lessons at the Hans Alfred Keller School. From now on, the students can also accompany the music’s melody; previously, there only used to be percussion.
The following day, all the little super sleuths had shiny eyes, because they were the first to play on the fantastic new instruments that the Hans Thomann Foundation had given us. In keeping with the season, they now accompanied the “Carnival of the Animals” with their glockenspiels. In their enthusiasm, the kids’ feedback was hard to make out as they shouted over each other: “That sounds like a dream!”, “I really made music! That sounded nice!”, and “I felt really good!”. The class is now infected with “music” and they will surely pass the bug on to future classes…
We say…
THANK YOU for the generous donation,
THANK YOU for the chance to inspire children to making music,
THANK YOU for the children’s shining eyes!
HEARTFELT THANKS from the Hans Alfred Keller School
