Borderless Music
Salem Aleikum, Shalom, Moin, moin!
Borderless Music are Paul & Jan & Marius alongside Sharon, Bashir, Mohammad, Ruhoala, Habib, Amir, Mazloum, Jafar and many others. We are a voluntary music project for diversity and tolerance.
The instruments and technology have been donated by the Hans Thomann Foundation; other support is received from the city of Chemnitz’ Local Plan for Action (LAP). Thanks to this support, and the cooperation of local associations, Radio-T, Agiua and the Chemnitz Band Office, we have been able to realise our plan to establish a musical cultural exchange in Chemnitz. We meet every fortnight on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. at the Band Office and get to do our jam sessions in their rehearsal studio. Musically speaking, we play everything with a groove!
With a mix of traditional Arab, Persian and Kurdish music as well as local sounds from Seeed, Kraftklub and pop&blues elements, we are developing a repertoire which we want to perform at intercultural events in order to promote diversity and tolerance.
We are not a closed shop and not a “fixed” band; everyone is welcome to visit us and jam with us!
