Eyes were wide open, and faces were beaming at our school when the children were finally able to take receipt of their new cajons. Since then, they have been drumming, practicing and making music together!

On behalf of our entire school community, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous donation of a class set of cajons worth over 2,000 Euros. For us as a primary school in a socially deprived district, your support means much more than a material donation – it makes a significant contribution to our students’ education and personal development. Every day, we work to create a positive learning environment for our children in which they can discover and develop their talents. At our school, almost 100% of the children speak German as a second language, and musical-rhythmic education not only promotes their creativity but also their language development. Music offers children a valuable opportunity to express themselves and experience self-efficacy – especially for those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, who rarely have access to musical activities in their private lives.

The cajons donated by you enable us to focus even more on pursuing this goal. Our students can actively make music on the cajons and experience this as a connective element in our school community. Your generous donation is a significant contribution towards establishing making music as an experience of a  cultural asset at our school – for all children, regardless of their personal or family circumstances. With your support, you not only enrich our everyday school life, but also give our children joy, new perspectives and the opportunity to develop their abilities in a very special way. Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
The staff of Jungbusch Primary School
