Project WIM (= we make music) in cooperation with the Strullendorf Primary School

For ten years now, Strullendorf Music School has been running the WIM project in cooperation with the local primary school.

In this project, a teacher from the music school who has been trained for this purpose visits the year 1 and year 2 classes of the primary school once a week in the morning and makes music with the children.

the presentation of different instruments, and thus the introduction of the children to music and instrumental lessons is also an important part of this lesson.

Since the lessons take place in the morning in the classes and there are no costs for the students, this project also involves children for whom attending the music school is not possible for various reasons.

Making music together also strengthens the class unit and the sense of community!

Last summer, no sponsor could be found for the WIM project, so that classes had to be discontinued, much to the regret of students, parents and teachers.

Thanks to the Hans Thomann Foundation, this hiatus is over and we can now start our WIM project again in the second half of the school year.

A heartfelt thank you from the Strullendorf Music School, also on behalf of the children, parents and teachers!
