Our school community is very happy about the generous donation from the Hans Thomann Foundation. For over 10 years, the children have had the opportunity to receive professional violin lessons at our school.

The parents pay for the lessons, but the school provides the children with their instruments. In the spirit of participation, the instruction fees for some of our children are paid by the Children’s Foundation. In this way, all interested and motivated children can learn to play the violin. Lessons start as early as year 1. Since the number of students overall has increased and the interest in violin lessons is high, we were not able to provide all children with an instrument this school year. Thanks to the instrument donation from the Hans Thomann Foundation, all children who are keen to try out playing were able to start instrumental lessons.

This kind of instruction is of great importance for child development. With pride and joy, the children learn to make music together, often without understanding the language. The child musicians experience themselves working together in a successful group, and they enrich our school’s cultural life with their small public performances.

Thank you very much
