Neukirchen Youth Education Centre
For the reopening of the Protestant Youth Education Center Neukirchen, we went to Musikhaus Thomann to acquire some new instruments and a PA system. For us, music is an essential part of youth education. And the rich bass at the evening youth disco is one of the things our teens enjoy most about staying in our education centre. The LD-Systems Maui 28 G2 loudspeakers with the corresponding accessories donated by the Hans Thomann Foundation shake our hall every night. No one stays seated, everyone dances and moves.
Trying things out and recognizing talents
The robust Thomann Digital Piano DP-32B has been set up in our conference room 1. The school classes who attend their getting-to-know-you, reflection or orientation days there love trying out the instrument at every opportunity. While some are happy to play simple children’s tunes, others are already proving to be virtuoso piano players, and still others discover their interest in music and try to play their first sequences of notes. The presence of the instrument alone, and the ability to freely access it, arouses the interest of the children and young people to try things out.
A rhythm that everyone just has to join in
For our children and young people who didn’t use to have the opportunity to learn an instrument, we have purchased numerous different rhythm instruments at Musikhaus Thomann. The boomwhackers and the ocean drum in particular are a hit with the kids. Our djembe and cajon provide the foundation for every session. Our centre hums with the teenagers’ enthusiasm for the instruments for everyone.
The evening ends with guitar music
Who doesn’t remember the campfire evenings with guitar music and singing? In front of our fireplace in winter, and at our campfire site in summer, the youth groups sit and use our new guitars from Musikhaus Thomann. The robust instruments, suited for outdoor use and different players, serve up the romantic image of making music together under the starry sky, with the crackling campfire as a background melody.
Always at hand
Except for the digital piano, which is available to all in our most beautiful conference room, our instruments are stored in the music cabinet. Located directly in our lobby, it is available to our guests free of charge at any time upon request. And one thing is certain for us: “Availability makes music”.
Made possible by the Hans Thomann Foundation
The support of the Hans Thomann Foundation has made a significant contribution to the acquisition of the necessary instruments and loudspeaker systems. We would like to thank you very much for your generous support, and we are overjoyed to be able to offer our young guests the opportunity to engage with music. The regional choir and orchestra scene has already recognized our house and the opportunities we offer here. The number of requests for a stay from regional groups has already increased.
We would like to thank the people behind the Hans Thomann Foundation, who have dedicated themselves to enable children and young people to make music with us in our centre.
