We are a daycare centre of the AWO (Workers’ Welfare Association) in the district of Delmenhorst and look after 105 children aged between 9 months and 6 years. In our daycare center in Schafkoven, a wolf band was founded two years ago.

Every Monday, the wolf band meets to sing and make music. So far, the little musicians have made their musical instruments from natural materials, cardboard boxes and paper rolls. The great donation from the Hans Thomann Foundation made not only the children’s eyes light up! Now our children aged three to six can make music with real musical instruments. Autumn songs were rehearsed with instrumental accompaniment, and small playground concerts were performed in our outdoor area for all kindergarten children. The wolf band is currently rehearsing for a big performance at a spooky party. They are now real, proud musicians.

The Orff instruments inspire all five of our kindergarten groups and are used joyfully every day for our sound stories. We would like to thank you very much for the generous donation!

Our wolf band would sing: “We will, we will DANK you”.
